Fair Dinkum CrossFit at Tenacity Worx
At Tenacity Worx , we believe that your fitness training is only one part of a well balanced health plan. Good nutrition (i.e.. the habit of eating natural whole food as opposed to the diet merry-go-round) is the foundational building block to which we add our fitness training. We have always utilised the CrossFit methodology because we love it. In February 2018 we became a licensed affiliate. Now, Fair Dinkum CrossFit is the only fair dinkum, true blue, dinky di CrossFit for the Southside.
The reason we love the CrossFit methodology is because it incorporates both strength work and cardio work all in one session. We believe both components are vital to good general health as well as elite fitness.
As far as weight loss goes, we have observed that the stronger your muscles get, the more energy they require, meaning there’s less energy left over at the end of the day to store as fat. (of course, this goes hand in hand with healthy food choices)
Cardio at Tenacity Worx is not running for 30minutes on a treadmill. It’s not the idea that CrossFit have about a good healthy dose of cardio either. In fact, we don’t even have a treadmill. We love short, sharp, sprinty type workouts that get the heart rate right up.
